The Augusta-Newland Developments completed their Iconic project and transferred all 44 apartments in November 2020. This 7-storey structure has improved the landscape and gentrified the neighbourhood. It features a rooftop pool, sophisticated security and top end finishes throughout.

Western Cape Blood Services

NewDev acquired a 2.3Ha strategic Industrial site from Imperial Logistics. We subdivided it, selling one 9000sqm Erf to Hirt&Carter and undertaking a bespoke development on the remaining erf for The Western Cape Blood Services. The Blood Bank had a purpose-built office and warehouse with specialized freezer rooms totalling 8200sqm under roof. As part of the transaction, NewDev acquired the Western Cape Blood Services Ndabeni Rd premises. We traded out of this, subdividing and selling to Tsiba Education NPA and Lasec.

10 exclusive 650-800 m2 homes over 20 000sqm were created in the first security estate of this size with unparalleled views of the mountains, Cape Town and the Atlantic Ocean. Some of these elegant homes featured tennis courts, lap pools, steam rooms, temperature-controlled wine cellars and multi-car garages. Combined development value in excess of R320m. Constructed for KingsHill Development, The Keep and Newland Developments. NewDev were passively involved in this project.

Farnham Court

In June 2023 we bought a very old block in Claremont Main rd from a family who had built and owned it for 58 years. We undertook a cosmetic facelift, sectionalized the apartments, and sold them all off. Some as shells for buyers to realise the upside and add their own flare and a few renovated by NewDev. The 18 apartments have all sold and transferred already. 

Current Projects

We have acquired the Maitland Cottage Children’s Hospital. The hospital moves to the Red Cross in April of 2024.  Newdev will then commence with a significant upgrade. Newdev will be retaining this asset and leasing it to a medical group.

Protea Rd. NewDev in partnership with another company that will be the majority tenant, have acquired a well-located property number 8 Protea Rd, Claremont. The building will span over 4 floors, meeting all the specifications of AAA Grade commercial space. Vivid architects have designed what we think is a small architectural masterpiece that will enhance the entire road and be a visual attraction to the built environment.
